holiday blanks!

hi friends!  i’ve been taking a break from blanking, but since these are holiday themed i just couldn’t say no :) 

1. "the best way to spread christmas cheer is..." being cheery! i am always so happy around the holidays, and i think the best way to make other people cheery is being cheerful yourself.

2. the holiday season is  definitely my favorite time of the year.  this year is a little weird with graduation and the move, but we are making the best of it.

3. when it comes to holiday decorating...  i go all out! our décor is a little bit more wintery – lots of golds and silvers.  but there are some wreaths and red and green candles and things we put out. i love it all.

4. the thing i look forward to most about the holidays is  family, gift giving and christmas caroling.  i know that’s three things, but i could never just pick one!

5. my favorite holiday tradition is  probably our christmas cocktail party.  this year is our 6^th, and each year it gets a little bit bigger and a little more fun.  my family has a lot of great traditions, but they have been changing over the past few years with the death of my great-grandmother (she was our family matriarch), so we are trying to come up with new family traditions.  with four sets of parents, we don’t have too many traditions that we do year after year besides our own christmas cocktail party.

6. this year my christmas plans include  moving.  yeah.  we are kind of up in the air on what to do for the actual holiday, but it sounds like we will be out east somewhere.  my dad is big on wanting to rent a house on the cape, but if that doesn’t work out we will all be in ny.  like i mentioned, my family is trying to come up with some new traditions…

7. my favorite holiday food is champagne.

 so today is friday, which is normally awesome.  especially because i don't have school tomorrow and just have to work half a day.  but thanks to my stupid flu shot yesterday, i am actually sick with the flu today.  nothing like the flu hitting on a friday afternoon, right?  boo.  but at the same time it's a good excuse for a night in with my bestest husband.

1.  the last thing i ate was a honeycrisp apple with organic, all natural creamy peanut butter.  i was too sick to eat my whole lunch so that's what i've had today.

2.  the last time i went to the beach was when PI and i took a spontaneous - and much needed - trip to jamaica during my maycation.  it was amazing.  all we did was make out and lay on the beach.  :) 

3.  my last vacation was to new york just about 10 days ago.  i never really know if visiting family counts as a vacation or not, because we spend our entire trip running around to see all the people we love and don't get to see often enough.  but it was an awesome trip.

4.  the last place i drove was home from work.  i love leaving work!

5.  the last song i listened to was perhaps one of the greatest songs ever [but not better than U2] - 'awake my soul' by mumford & sons on pandora.

6.  the last thing i watched on tv was last night's season premiere of 30 rock.  i thought the kenneth-hazel-tracy storyline was super weird and not funny, but i am always loving jack and liz's shenanigans.  especially because jack donaghy is like my dad.  but we are about to turn on a twilight zone marathon - perfect way to spend a cold colorado october night. 

7.  the last time i said 'i love you' was to PI about 4 minutes ago.  he finished unloading the dishwasher for me because he knows i feel like a walking ghost.

hey all... it's that time again! 

1.  my first memory is [super good question] random flicks of our house in new york, the 'yellow house.'  the red carpet, the couch, drinking apple juice on the couch watching sesame street, my pop coming over on saturday mornings,  just little things.

2.  my first love was complicated.  we were best friends who did everything together, and he was never even my boyfriend.  but we were totally inseparable to the point where he'd climb up my balcony at night just to hang out with me.  the weird part was that it wasn't until years later that i realized i was in love with him.  but my first actual love i had who i dated was my high school/college boyfriend; we were together for five years.  we had some pretty messy times, but when i look back i realize it was all just because we were so young.  i don't know how anyone could marry their first love - you just go through so much before getting to the person you grow up to be.

3.  my very first favorite color was blue, still is!

4.  the first time i really felt like a 'grown up' was when i traveled by myself.  but ironically, it wasn't when i was living in prague and traveling then.  it was when i had moved home and i was flying out to california to meet philip's family for the first time, so i just booked my tickets and paid for them and that was it.  and i felt super grown up [despite the fact that i had been doing that for a year in europe].

5.  the first thing i do when i wake up in the morning is hit the snooze button, then check my email.

6.  the first CD i ever bought was U2's achtung baby. 

7.  my first car was a blue volkswagen jetta, the year they came out with their new body style.  i loved that car.  her name was louise and she only lasted a few short years.

tonight we are heading out to a new place to celebrate our anniversary - yesterday was our FOUR YEAR wedding anniversary!  school this weekend and then it's into a homework coma - LOTS of big projects coming up.  ugh.

hooray for friday!

well, it's finally friday - and boy am i stoked about that.  it was a rough week here and i am happy for it to be over and moving on to happier things.  i am super behind in just about everything since there was lots of unexpected family and friends time this week, but that will have to wait - it's FITB friday and my sister-in-law n is here today!  hooray!

now for the blanks first - remember to head over to little things we do to link up and play along.

1.  right now the weather where i live is finally turning to fall!  which means a few days in the 70s, a few in the 50s, then a random one in the 60s.  it's colorado, but it's still beautiful.

2.  the best piece of advice i've ever been given is the worst that can happen is he can say no.   it was when i was showing up at an autograph signing for a professional hockey player and was instead going to ask if i could interview him for our college newspaper.  it's a good philosophy, just sub out the 'he' for whatever it is you are thinking of doing.  the worst that can happen in any given situation is it doesn't work out, so you try something else.  i have used it with moving - if it doesn't work, you move again.  or with a job - if it doesn't work out, then you find another one.  nothing is really permanent in this life.

3.  my most favorite person in all the world is my husband, for so many reasons, but the biggest one is that he always knows the right thing to say to make me laugh or feel better or comfort me.

4.  if i were to have a 'mission statement' for my life it would be [oh i think i've blogged this one before!] 'one love, one blood, one life you've got to do what you should, one life with each other: sisters, brothers.'  it's from the U2 song one and it's my all time favorite song ever.  the lyrics are to die for and that statement helps give my life meaning - that we should all help one another because in the end, we really are just the same.  no one's life is more valued than anyone else's. 

5.  my most favorite item in my closet is probably shoes.

6.  the best cure for a bad day is happy hour with friends, or a drink at home with pi while watching something that will make me laugh.

7.  today is natalie's arrival day- so i'll see you people after the weekend!

high school blanks.

how appropriate - today's blanks are school themed.  probably high school themed for me today, since high school is all i've thought about all week. 

1.  my favorite grade in school was  either my sophomore, junior or senior years of high school.  had some amazing friends, started growing up a little, and just had fun years all around.

2.  my favorite teacher was  probably one of the teachers i have now, tony robinson,  because his energy and enthusiasm is just amazing.  it's contagious, he laughed and did voices and cursed and got super into it.  i loved it. 

3.  the highest level of education i have completed is  allllllmost done with my bachelor's in political science with a concentration in public policy!

4. school lunches for me were usually  fast food with my girlfriends in the back of my jetta.  loved them.

5. the amount of money you'd have to pay me to go back to high school would be ...well, if i could just do it over again with the same outcome, probably around a million dollars.  if i could change things a little, well, then, i'd do it for $500,000.

6. a few things that will always remind me of going back to school are:  new shoes, backpacks, bookstores.

7.  the first day of school was always  something i loved.  it was always so exciting and filled with anticipation.

i guess high school is just the topic of the week.  and it probably will be next week too - funeral on tuesday. :(

last summer blanks!

wahoo!  it's friday, and it's blanking time!  to play head over to lauren's blog and link up.

1.  over this labor day i will be  spending lots of time with friends and p.  we are having friends over tomorrow and one very special one is having a sleepover (yay!), and that's what we are up to all weekend.  probably lots of house work - as i keep mentioning there are lots of projects on the horizon - and a trip to ikea tomorrow morning.  i can't wait. 
 
2.  with the political debates right now, my thoughts are  [yay, i love this question] that i hope people are really paying attention and listening to what is going on. i know it's difficult and depressing sometimes with all of the mudslinging, but there is a candidate who is literally telling blatant lies to get votes [and who was actually called out by fox news despite the fact that he's a republican], who wants to roll back rights for minority voters and women, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.  i hope people are paying attention to what is going on.
 
3.  today  i have been productive.  8am and already transplanted my flowers, cleaned out my fridge [kinda], and blogged.  and i can't wait to go food and beer shopping tonight to prep for the party tomorrow!
 
4.  the best thing i've cooked lately  well, i haven't cooked lately. i tried to roast peppers and failed.  i guess i made some polenta two days ago that was decent.  but really this summer i've been in to crispy brussell sprouts, and have made them like 7-8 times this summer and will do it even more going into fall.
 
5.  the last thing i bought was  shoes, shoes shoes.  literally.  three pairs for fall.  flats, heels and killer boots.  can't wait to share.
 
6.  the best movie i saw this summer was  probably the batman movie. it was kind of awesome, and i loved the parallels to occupy.  but i saw lots of good movies this summer - we LOVE movies!  moonrise kingdom was great too.
 
7.  the best book i read this summer was  HA!  all my reading is for school.  so probably either the conscience of a liberal or the great american stickup.  i honestly read them both and love them both despite the fact that they were for a class.  i can't wait to start reading again for fun.

1.  my favorite thing to do on friday is   happy hour with friends. of course that would assume there is no school or work on saturdays... but that's the best thing for sure.

2.   this friday i am going out to dinner and a jazz club with my family!  my brother is here from boston again (whoooo!) so it's family all weekend - no school or work for me! :)

3.  the best thing about a weekend is  the relaxation and stress-free ambiance.  not having to do anything.  i love it when philip and i make use of our days and then rent a movie and order pizza... just no schedule. 

4. now that summer is almost over, i'm feeling  anxious and energized.  that means that school is almost over and the election is almost here!

5. the best thing i did this summer was  spend a lot of quality time with philip.  we got really close this summer (how can you get even close to someone you are married to?).  also getting classes over with.

6. the thing i'm looking forward to about fall is  the WEATHER!  i love wearing sweaters, drinking cocoa, and warming up in front of the fire.  we stock up on seasonal beer and make homemade green chili.  it's awesome.

7.  if i had to be stuck in one season for the rest of my life, i would choose  fall for sure.  my favorite.  the colors, the scenery, the smells and tastes.  we got married in fall because we both love it so much.

hi friends.  it is a gorgeous day outside, and we woke up early to enjoy the morning light.  i am off work (& school) this weekend, and it's going to be a lovely weekend filled with painting!

but today, it's time for blanks, courtesy of the little things we do.  today's blanks:

is the season most filled with life.  summer always reminds me of my childhood - as i've blogged about before, my family used to own a summer house on long island.  i can honestly say that i've spent the best days of my life in that house surrounded by people i love.  we'd go to the beach every day (read: literally every single day) after we helped pack up lunch for the beach.  i have wonderful memories of my grandmother and aunts signing in the kitchen while cooking, and my father, my uncle and their friends smoking cigars outside til late at night. 

nowadays, summer is a time for bike riding with philip, hanging out with friends, and doing a lot of work on the house :)  it's a time for jazz in the park with my colorado family and patio cocktail hours.  it's a wonderful time of year, even if i do have to sweat through the night in our non-air-conditioned old house.

new fill in the blanks

 hey yo!


please excuse my absence, but things have been busy around here.  i started summer classes on monday, and i'm transferring to another location at work on monday, which means i'm working two jobs until further notice.  not fun.

but otherwise things have been great!  we have really been out enjoying the sunshine - taking morning jogs, heading to the park for free jazz concerts, fairs and festivals... it's been awesome.  i've enjoyed it all and there is much more summer fun to come (highlands street fair anyone?!). 

but for today, it's blanks time!  the format has been changed (which i am super excited about), and it's now more of a writing prompt than anything else.  seeing as in my former life i was an creative writing major and started my own novel, i think it's going to be great.  check out lauren's adorable blog to play along and link up!  today's prompt...

hmm.  super good question.  why do i do this?  it's probably a culmination of a few things.

1. i love to write.  as i mentioned above, in my former life i was a writer, and i still love it.  i've written for a bunch of different websites and was an editor for an online travel magazine.  writing has always been a passion for me, and it's something that i don't really get to do in my job now.  i get to write plenty for school, which i love, but it's not always what i want.  
2. i have family & friends all over that like keeping track of what we are up to.  it's easier these days than sending out an annual christmas card, plus with more pictures.  we can share updates on the house, pictures of our travels, pictures of our nephews, all in one awesome spot for our loved ones to see.  it's so convenient.
3. i started a blog when i first lived in prague as a way for people to read about my adventures, and i just instantly loved it.  i was always a girl with a journal, and a blog was kind of like that for me.  it was a great way for me to share what i am going through (or where i am going) with others who may find it helpful.  i totally love it.

so i don't plan on giving up my blog anytime soon :)

friday blanks!

happy friday friends!  i don't care what day it is because jamaica is only 6 short days away, but a weekend in there is pretty good too :)  up this weekend we have drinks with friends, drinks with friends, and family day on sunday.  should be awesome.  so without further delay...

1.  something that is very near and dear to my heart is travel, learning about other cultures, and translating that into respect and equality for all people.

2.   vacation in a few days (!!!)  is good cause to celebrate .

3.  the most fun i ever had was backpacking through italy with five of the most amazing people i know, including my husband.  we went to venice, florence, rome & the cinque terre - it was definitely the best 10 days of my life.  we have so much fun when we travel.

4.  true friends are the ones that don't get upset that you haven't called in months, are always there when you need them no matter what, and you  can pick up right where you left off if you go a while without seeing each other.

5. something that makes me terribly happy is traveling with philip just about anywhere, but especially when it's just the two of us getting away somewhere.

6. a good way to spend a sunny day is on the beach with a cocktail, which is what i'll be doing a week from right now!  but tonight i'll celebrate the good weather by having happy hour with our friends outside, which is pretty damn good too.

7.  my favorite celebratory food is champagne!  not a food i know, but i guess if you pop a raspberry or two in there that's food.

whew.  whadda day.  i worked 12 hours, finished my final project, and came home to a few surprises.

1 - a pre-mixed martini, courtesy of my husband who knew i had a rough day. 

2 - a surprise from my momma. 

now, my mom is big on surprises.  there is no doubt in my mind that she loves surprising people more than she loves being surprised.  so when she texted me tonight to call me once i got home and settled in because she had a surprise for me, i wasn't surprised about the surprise.  a lot of time she goes shopping and picks up something for me, or takes me shoe shopping, or something fun like that.  but this time she said she made me something.  so i went home, i settled in with my martini (!!!) and gave her a call.  

she told me she made me a board on pinterest.

now, let me just say that i introduced my mom to pinterest last weekend, and she's obsessed.  she loves it. in fact, she spent a good portion of her time while at my house playing on pinterest with me.  so today, she said she was playing and saw a lot of things that she thought it would like, so she made a board to pin them all to.  so i logged on to check it out. 

if you want to get to know me, just check out her board on pinterest.  it is absolutely astounding how well this woman knows me.  she has literally ALL of my favorite things on there - russia, shoes with bows, philip seymour hoffman, my celebrity father, artsy graffiti, the beach, brooklyn, inspirational quotes, bauble necklaces, david hyde pierce, uneven manicures, the avalanche, truman capote, mosques jack goes boating, kings of convenience, kir royales, pilsner, the obamas, owls and my favorite book.  it's amazing.  she even pinned a picture of my ex (???).  now THAT is impressive.  i am so blessed to have an insanely awesome mom who is not only a wonderful mother but also one of my best friends.

and since it's friday and i'm blogging, here are my blanks... 

1.  when i wake up in the morning, the first thing i do is hit the snooze button if at all possible.  if not then i usually pet mussolini, my cat.  then we go into the bathroom together (seriously, he follows me) so i can brush my teeth.

2.   i can hardly wait for finals to be over for the semester.  and then school to be done forever.

3.  the quickest way to my heart is sharing my ideology because if we don't see the world the same way, how will we agree on anything else?  also - a good sense of humor :)

4. a little known fact about me is that i am an aquarius in every detail of my being.  i'm individualistic, assertive, humanitarian, eccentric, opinionated, idealistic and can be detached.  i'm one of those people that really identify with my zodiac sign.

5. the best part about my job is  [i don't blog about my job - so i'll blog about the best part of my volunteer job] working with people who are so passionate about what we do.  this isn't work, no one makes them come.  they come because they care, they believe and they want to make a difference.

6. something i just couldn't live without is music.  music music music music music.  also good beer.

7.  something useful that i wish i knew how to do is  speak another language.  in my life i have taken french, latin, greek, italian and czech.  i only know some french today and the rest is basically gone.  i can understand some italian but can't speak it - i got rosetta stone from my dad for christmas and it is the first thing i want to do once school is done.  i can't wait.

ok guys, it's off to school for me this weekend, for my LAST WEEKEND!  wish me luck!

friday blanks!

hi friends! it's friday, i don't have school, and that makes me happy.  i have a crazy amount of homework (finals time!) this weekend but hopefully i'll get to blogging again before next week comes.

make it a fun one and everyone have a cocktail for me in the sunshine! :)


1.  today is a great day because it's friday, and i don't have school this weekend! yahooo!

2.  tomorrow i will be working in the morning, pounding out lots of homework in the afternoon and spending the rest of my saturday hanging out with philip and my mom.  a few weeks back i discovered that mom has never seen the talented mr. ripley, which is a huge no-no in my world.  so we're watching it with some good italian wine tomorrow. 

3.  my favorite time of day is the time between dinner and bedtime because that's when i spend time with philip. homework is usually winding down and we will finally catch up on our days.

4.  sometimes you just have to knuckle down and get shit done. i've learned that complaining doesn't get you anywhere and neither does feeling sorry for yourself. so knuckle down and get it done so you can move on to better things later.

5.  a song that i just can't get enough of lately is cake's 'love you madly.' not exactly the newest song but an obsession of mine as of late that makes me happy.

6.  my favorite accessory is usually my purse or my shoes, but lately i'm loving a new sheer scarf i bought. i tie it up in my hair. it's so pretty and girlie, perfect for spring! 

7.  my favorite thing about this week was watching so many first round playoff games.  major fun and major stress reliever.  happy me!

fill in the blanks!

hi there!  it's been a few weeks since i've played blanks on friday, so here we go.  i have class this weekend and i just got my assignments sent over to me via email and had a panic attack - so here we go awful end of the semester! hope everyone's weekend is better than mine is going to be! 

1.  today is a good day because  it's the end of the work week, which means i can focus on school aaaaalll weekend.

2.   the best thing i did all week was  meet my calling goals at the phone bank monday night.  we were finishing up calls waiting for our last volunteer to hand in her tally when we found out we were 5 calls short of our goal.  so everyone grabbed one more sheet to call through, even though it was 8pm and none of these people get paid.  it made my heart swell and everyone was so motivated we recruited more volunteers in that last 15 minutes than we had all night.  amazing.

3.  the current weather is rainy and it makes me feel like i missed spring so much.  i love it.

4. the best thing about spring is  coming back outside. happy hours on patios, flowers, windows down, skirts get shorter, toes come out in sandals.  too many to name.

5. a fashion trend that i'm dying to try out for spring is  hair chalking.  how fun is that?!?!

6. a person who made me smile this week was   my husband, who remembered that wednesday was our five year anniversary of getting engaged, and made a big deal out of it.  he also made me smile tuesday when i had my day from hell, and i came home to a note that said 'pick one' in front of a bottle of wine, a bottle of vodka and a bottle of beer.  now that is love.

7.  the most delicious thing i ate all week was an awesome, spur of the moment pasta salad i made.  whole wheat rigatoni, garbanzo beans, peppers, tomatoes, olives... delicious.

saturday morning blanks

notice a trend here?  yeah, i'm too busy to blog on fridays.  that's the trend.  last night PI & i celebrated valentine's day, since my birthday is on the obnoxious holiday.  so we went to a fancy dinner and celebrated ourselves.  it was awesome :)  today is filled with - you guessed it! - homework, and then a fundraising dinner tonight.  should be lovely.  

but for now... blanks time!  lauren @ little things posts them every week, and these week they are home themed.  it makes me sad... i remember the days when i used to post about updating our bathroom, decorations, fun stuff like that.  now all i do is complain about politics and homework.  someday.  sigh.

1.  my favorite room in my home is   our living room  because   it's where everyone hangs out.  plus it's the most versatile room in the house, and it's the only one i feel like is done.

2.   my current decor style is   eclectic, mismatched and worldly but i wish it were more    cohesive & pulled together.  it's all over the place, just like me.

3.  i wish i could redecorate the kitchen in my house to make it more our style.  it was updated by the last owner, but it still isn't really my cup of tea.  there's a window over the sink that's too tall, so i stare at the base of it when i do dishes.  the green marble and natural wood just isn't my style either.  but that would be a fortune.

4. my dream house absolutely has to have a  history.  i don't like new houses, or houses that are so updated you can't feel the story of the house.

5. one house item i am willing to splurge on is   a couch. We practically live on our couch, so it's a good investment. We're currently on the hunt for something that is both modern and comfortable, which is surprisingly difficult - many times clean lines = hard lines and we definitely need a comfy couch .

6. a decor trend that i just don't "get" is the farmhouse look.  i like antiques, but i don't get why anyone would want to live in a space that's that rustic and not super comfortable.  i think a home should tell a story about the people who live in it.

7.  tons of candles and photographs  is a little touch that makes my house feel like home.

busy blanking saturday!

well, hello there.  if you come here often, you won't be surprised that i am just now getting to fill in the blank friday, even though it's, ummm... saturday.  saturday late afternoon to be exact.  but what can i say, i went straight from work to a work function last night and didn't get home til 11.  today was more work, haircut with my fave hair stylist ever, homework and now sigh.  blogging :)  so sorry for the delay, and i hate to say this, but it's going to get worse before it gets better.  my weekend classes start here in two weeks and then i won't come up for air til the first week of may.  so i'll enjoy this now, because who knows when i'll be back... 

1.  the highlight of my week was  my OFA phone bank, getting ready for super tuesday for which i will be a caucus captain, and some other cool stuff that happened.

2.   if i had to classify my interior design aesthetic it would be   eclectic, mismatched and worldly.

3.  my first vehicle was   lousie, my 2001 blue volkswagen jetta. best car EVER.

4. an item i need to have in my day in order to function is  music. wakes me up in the morning, makes my drive to work tolerable, and cheers me up when i need it.

5. my favorite way to waste time is  uh-oh, too many. discovering fun things on pinterest, or reading my version of celebrity gossip.

6. right now i could really go for   a cocktail and some sunshine.

7.  this weekend i will be  doing homework, a lot of homework.

FITB saturday

well, yesterday was miserable. and i didn't get to do anything near a computer (including homework!), so today's blanks are being brought to you on saturday.  and today lauren's blanks are love-themed, thank goodness, because right now i am more thankful for philip than ever before.  he's the one that holds my crazy world together.  that being said...

1.  the love of my life is  philip - obvi :)

2.   falling in love is  one moment.  there's that moment where you realize, 'oh my god, i'm in love with him.' it happened to me with philip when we were riding on a bus.  we were headed to the tree lighting ceremony in old town square while we were living in prague, and i was worried we were going to miss it.  he was putting so much effort into us getting there on time, and i remember looking at him and for the first time thinking i was in love with him.

3.  marriage is  so much fun.  i honestly love being married, and some of the most fun we have had is during the last three and a half years.

4. the longest relationship i've ever had was  my current relationship of five and a half years!  we got engaged after four months, the rest we've been married.

5. the key to a good relationship is  communication.  talk, all the time.  bring even the little things that bother you up, and in the end the rest is easy.

6. i feel loved when  someone does something thoughtful for me at the right time.  like when i come home from school after work and philip made me dinner that he knew i would like.  or when people take the time to do things for me when their own lives are so busy and chaotic too.

7.  my favorite quote about love is from my favorite book extremely loud and incredibly close by jonathan safran foer.  it's long - but it's about a boy and a girl who are best friends and talk between their apartment buildings on a telephone made out of a tin can and string:

the strong between them grew incredibly long, so that it had to be extended with many other strings tied together: his yo-yo string, the pull from her talking doll, the twine that had fastened his father's diary, the waxy strong that had kept he grandmother's pearls around her neck and off the floor, the thread that had separated his great-uncle's childhood quilt from a pile of rags.  contained within everything they shared with one another were the yo-yo, the doll, the diary, the necklace, and the quilt. they had more and more to tell each other, and less and less string.

the boy asked the girl to say 'i love you' into her can, giving her no further explanation.

and she didn't ask for any, or say, 'that's silly,' or 'we're too young,' or even suggest that she was saying 'i love you' because he asked her to.  instead she said, 'i love you.'  the words traveled the yo-yo. the doll, the diary, the necklace, the quilt, the clothesline, the birthday present, the harp, the tea bag, the tennis racket, the hem of the skirt he one day should have pulled from her body.  the boy covered his can with a lid, removed it from the string, and put her love for him on a shelf in his closet.  of course, he would never open the can, because then he would lose its contents.  it was enough to know it was there.

fill in the blank {snowy} friday!

hello all! in case you haven't heard from, like, everywhere, there's a pretty huge snowstorm out here in denver!  i'm still working today.  unlike school closures around here, i'd have to be literally buried in snow to get a day off.  so we'll see what the weekend holds - i'm working til 6 tonight and tomorrow.  this snow is crazy!  but anyway, off to the blanks...

1.   if money wasn't an issue, the first thing i'd cross of my life list is  trans-siberian railway or orient express.  those are trips i will definitely take sometime in my life... when we have the money.  

2.   just about anything i like  is something i like that other people think is weird.  but seriously, i'd say cher. she's awesome and i love her.

3.  if my life were a movie right now, the title would be   [whoa - good question!]  probably 'i don't know how she does it,' because of all the things going on in my life right now!  or maybe 'something's gotta give.'

4.  three things i am looking forward to this month are    ummm, please refer to my earlier post for full list.

5.  my favorite song to sing in the shower is usually whatever i'm listening to now.  the last song i sang in the shower was probably 'every teardrop is a waterfall' by coldplay, because it's the happiest song ever.  but usually it's just she & him, what ever girl sings in the shower i'm sure.

6.  if i found out that the production of   chicken wine   was ending this month, i'd go out and buy as much as i could tomorrow.

7.  one thing i'll never grow tired of is  my thursdays with philip.  our favorite TV shows, no homework or other projects, and cooking together.  best ever.
