HOORAY for birthdays!

hi friends!  this is birthday-weekend-wrap-up-post take two.  the first one was crazy long.  you don't need to hear every detail of the weekend i realized, so here we go, the highlights of philip's birthday weekend!

• dinner at le grand bistro, definitely our new favorite restaurant.  cocktails, food, atmosphere, location, service, everything was awesome.  i literally can't wait to have an excuse to go back there! 

• the successful whiskey-themed pub crawl post-dinner friday night!  philip was super surprised and all of our friends were there.  it was just wonderful, fun, and like every good bar hopping experience got totally out of control.  for those colorado natives reading this, we also saw one mike nelson drinking whiskey, doing the tornado dance, and hitting on much younger girls at whiskey bar.  hilarious.

• lovely long dinner at the fort, including sipping wine by the fire after our meal was finished.  it was philip's first time there and i was so excited to be able to take him.

• picking out our halloween costumes on sunday!  it's top secret, but i'll give you just one hint on what we are being (it's a couple's costume)...

• a corn maze!  philip's first ever and the only time i've done one during the day.  it was a beautiful day and such a fun time for us.  next time we will brave one in the dark :)

HOORAY!  we made it out! 

• pumpkin carving.  it only lasted one day (so glad i got pictures) because a squirrel ate most of my lack-o-lantern by the time i got home from work today.
